This is the question most people Google before they book a call. I'll give you the honest answer, including exactly what I charge and why. If you're earlier than that and still working out what a StoryBrand Guide does, start there instead.

The Range

StoryBrand Guides set their own pricing. There's no standard rate. At the low end, you might find guides charging $1,500 to $3,000 for a BrandScript session and messaging document. At the high end, full-service engagements that include strategy, a launched website, and ongoing support for the year can run $15,000 to $30,000 total.

The range is wide because the deliverables are genuinely different. A one-time messaging session is a different product than a 12-month partnership. You're not comparing apples to apples when you compare prices without comparing scope. It's also worth knowing how this compares to hiring a marketing agency, since the two are priced on completely different logic.

What Affects the Price

A few factors move the number significantly:

  • Scope. Messaging only vs. messaging plus a launched website vs. messaging plus website plus ongoing strategy and support. Each layer adds cost.
  • Tenure and experience. A guide who's been certified for a year charges less than one who's been at it for a decade. That's not arbitrary: a more experienced guide runs a better workshop, writes better copy, and avoids the mistakes that come from limited reps.
  • Whether a website is included. A messaging session alone is one price. A messaging session plus a launched, optimized website built around it is another. The build work is where most of the cost lives.
  • Your business complexity. A single-service solopreneur and a 30-person firm with multiple service lines require different levels of work to get the messaging right.

What I Charge

My pricing is published because I don't want sticker shock to be part of anyone's experience. Everything is one-time. No retainers, no long-term commitments baked into the base price.

Clarity Site: $3,499, one-time. A focused messaging session plus a 5-page website built to convert. Mobile-ready, fast, and built to be found. Live in about two weeks.

Growth Site: $4,900, one-time. The full Buried Lead Method: your one clear message plus copy for every page, a 10-page website built to turn visitors into booked calls, lead capture, analytics, and blog setup. Live in about three weeks. This is where most people land.

Authority Site: $8,900, one-time. Everything in the Growth Site, plus a 15-page build, a dedicated sales page, a 5-email follow-up sequence, and advanced search optimization. Priority build.

There's also an optional Care Plan at $175/month that keeps your site updated and handled after launch. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.

Is It Worth It?

That depends on what a client is worth to you and what it's costing you to stay unclear.

If a new client brings in $5,000 to $10,000 in revenue, a Clarity Site pays for itself with one. A Growth or Authority Site pays for itself with one or two. The question isn't whether the investment is large. It's whether the outcome is larger.

For established service businesses, the more useful question is: what's your current marketing costing you in missed opportunities? If you're losing one client a month to someone who communicates more clearly, that's not a small number. If your referrals land on your site and quietly choose someone else, that's a real cost even if you never see it on a report.

What You Shouldn't Pay For

A few things worth being skeptical of:

  • A guide who won't show you pricing upfront. If a guide won't tell you what they charge until the end of a long sales process, that's a red flag. You should be able to evaluate whether the investment makes sense before spending time on calls.
  • Rock-bottom prices. A newly certified guide charging $500 for a BrandScript session is learning on your project. That might be fine if you're on a tight budget and patient with the process. Just know what you're getting.
  • A scope that doesn't include a workshop. If a guide wants to write your website copy without first running a BrandScript session, they're guessing at your message. The workshop is where the strategy happens. Without it, you're just getting a copywriter who read a book. The rest of what to check is in how to hire a Certified StoryBrand Guide.

The Actual Question

Most people who ask "how much does it cost?" are actually asking "is this worth it for me?" That's a harder question to answer without knowing your situation. The investment makes clear sense for established service business owners with a real client base and a reputation that outpaces their marketing. It makes less sense if you're just starting out or still figuring out your offer.

If you're not sure which tier fits, the application call is the right first move. It's free, and you'll leave the call knowing whether this makes sense for your business and which option is the right fit.

I publish my pricing publicly because you deserve to know what you're evaluating before you get on a call. If you want to see the full breakdown, it's on the pricing page. If you want to talk through which option fits your situation, start an application and we'll figure it out on our first call.
